Unfailing Strength. – The ST01BB Jaw Crusher in operation with scoria slag.

In the middle of January our new Jaw cruher ST01BB began an operation on a landfill for scoria slag in the Czech republic and we took this opportunity for making several test runs and demonstration of the function  for customers.
Thanks to our developed and patented hydraulic Jaw crusher – designed to operate the most difficult materials – our machine exceed the expectations of the whole team and the invited business partners.

Constantly increasing prices of raw material and landfilling costs also increase the interest in the recycling
of the metal contained in the slag as well as the cost-effective, reasonable reutilisation of the slag.
The recycling of scoria slag sets special requirements on the equipment, which can’t be natched of every
plant. – The slag contains uncrushable materials like iron, steel and many other metal which can cause
serious damages of the cruher chamber when operating with conventional crushing plants. And this mostly
makes an economic recycling impossible.

Most of the projects  are not realisable and are doomed to failure because of the high costs for the preparation
of the material. To the current state of the art the materials is pre-sorted with high machine expenditures and
labour costs. Those projects are not economic caused through these high investments and the material is
dumped again.

Advantages hydraulic Jaw crusher ST01BB

The hydraulic Jaw crusher independent opens the chamber when there are uncrushable extraneous materials
and is closing to the pre-set position within seconds as soon as these materials leave the crusher chamber.
Even iron-inlays up to an edge-length of 600 mm cause no troubles for our Jaw crusher. This system allows
a dramatically reduction of the costs in the slag recycling and even makes it possible.

SLAG IS NOT SLAG.

Depending on the steel-making process out of which the slag arises, the several slags are completely different
in structure, strength and contents.
A lot of operators of landfills have the same question: “Is it profitable to recycle my materials?”
And that is the reason why we are on the road from one landfill to another in the next few months.
Only a trial-operation with the own material can bring the requested information. This is the only way to get
results about possible performances, effective costs per produced m3 and intrinsic value of the final material.
